Andrew McCormack

Chief Information Officer

Andrew McCormack is the Chief Information Officer at Payments Canada. He is responsible for Canada’s core payment systems as well as Payments Canada’s technology strategy and emergent technology agenda.

Andrew brings more than ten years business experience with a focus on enterprise software design and development. With a comprehensive perspective of the evolving payments ecosystem, Andrew leads the technology delivery for payments modernization in Canada. As part of his responsibilities, Andrew has led blockchain research, alongside the Bank of Canada and industry (a.k.a Project Jasper), since early 2016.  Andrew has an MBA from the Ivey Business School and Bachelor of Computer Science from Carleton University. Andrew lives in Ottawa, Ontario, with his wife and three children.
